"Interactions" mean a photo that has a body part or item physically outside of the box.

For example, legs hanging outside of frame is 1 interaction, but holding an item together with another box is 2 interactions. You may "interact" with another box but stay within frame and that will not count as an interaction (see 4-box for an example).

If you buy your full set of photos, your total price is $3 multiplied by the number of photos in your layout.

FAQs

There’s no strict limit aside from the size of the box itself. For reference, we’ve seen up to five adults fit inside (a cozy chapter, to say the least!). We recommend planning how each person will fit into the layout you’ve chosen.

How many people can fit in the box at once, and how many guests can I bring to the session?

About the Session

Is the session suitable for kids, babies, or pets?

Absolutely! Kids, babies, and even furry family members are welcome in your story with the following in mind:

• Our Terms and Conditions has a section on kids and babies that must be read. While we’ve had babies join in beautifully, keep in mind that they don’t “fill” the box quite like adults do when photographed alone.

• For pets, they must be less than 30 pounds and must be leashed, crated, or held when arriving.

Can we choose our own theme and bring props, or are they provided?

Yes! Every family’s story is unique, and your session should reflect that. We have a collection of seasonal props available, but you’re encouraged to bring items that help tell your story. We simply ask that you avoid decorations that leave a mess (like glitter or confetti) so our next storytellers have a clean space to create in.

What should we wear, and is there space to change outfits during the session?

Your Product and Payment

We recommend coordinating your outfits to match your chosen theme to help create a cohesive visual. Because the box is white, light clothing can blend into the background, so choose colors that stand out and complement each other. Clean, indoor shoes only, please. Washrooms are available if you need to change outfits between scenes.

How early should we arrive to get ready?

Please arrive no more than five minutes before your scheduled time and give us a quick call when you arrive. We’ll make sure everything is ready for your part of the story to begin.

How long does it take to receive the final image?

We aim to deliver your finished image within seven days, but very often sooner. If there’s ever a delay, we’ll reach out with an updated delivery time. Every story deserves care in its final polish.

Will we receive digital files, prints, or both?

You’ll receive a high-resolution digital file, perfect for sharing and printing for personal use. We also offer premium prints on traditional photo paper or sleek aluminum for an additional fee.

What’s included in the session fee?

Your session includes a short pre-shoot discussion to plan your vision, prompt and posing guidance during the shoot, access to props that suit your chosen theme, and the high-resolution digital image of your final story collage.

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept electronic payments through Square, e-transfer, or cash. Please note that Square transactions include a small processing fee.
